Hello!  I'm Sharon, a die-hard life-long crafter and DIYer, mother of two adult sons, retired teacher and school principal,  Stampin' Up! demonstrator and most importantly a Christian striving to live my life for Christ.

I've had my Artful Avocations crafting blog through another platform for over ten years.  Hardly seems possible.  My how times flies! I still have that blog, but the domain is now www.sharonsrivera.com.

 

I have always loved to create and make things and I especially enjoy helping others to do the same. Having this new site will allow me to do more of that.

 

In the back of my mind there was always this little voice that kept telling me, when I retired I'd be able to do this fun stuff all the time. Well, retirement has had it's way of sneaking up on me and now it's time for me to move on and have a platform where I can chase the dream I've had as long as I can remember.

My plan is to share some great DIY projects, craft projects, crafts for kids, teacher ideas, recipes, gardening tips, maybe even some travel and camping tips - and who knows what else!  It is my hope that the ideas I share will make your life easier and more enjoyable.
