Here is another Halloween item that I actually made during the summer (August)....so the candy is nice and hard now. lol I made about 40 of these for my upline's August meeting's swap and to have a few on hand to give away.
I made pumpkins like this many years ago and when I saw the orange slice candy at a (3 hour) stop at Cabella's in Utah on the way home from Convention, I knew I had to buy some to make pumpkins for the next upline meeting swap.
For each pumpkin you need 6 orange slice candies, and about 1/3 of a green apple flavored twist candy stick (like licorice). You will also need a square of plastic wrap (just tear off a length that is about square) and about a 6" length of Linen Thread. To assemble, place the square of plastic wrap in the palm of one hand, then arrange the 6 orange slices in a circle with the narrow side towards the center. Stick the green twist candy into the center for the pumpkin's stem. Pull the plastic wrap up towards to top of the pumpkin and around the stem. Pull the wrap very tight and twist it a little to help hold it in place. Don't let it go! Keep tension on it as you tie the Linen Thread around it to hold it together. Trim the excess plastic wrap. Add some ribbon and a stamped tag and you have a cute little pumpkin treat for your favorite trick-or-treater!
Hope you like it. Let me know if you give it a try.
