Isn't this FUN?!! Doesn't it look 3 dimensional? Believe it or not, this is just a flat piece of regular bond paper printed on my home printer using a normal setting...not even best! Have I told you how much I LOVE My Digital Studio?!!
I used the newly released My Digital Studio downloads to make this mini popcorn wrapper. Basically, you just make a page layout to your liking, print ...Done!
Here is what I did: Open MDS and select Multiple Output Options>8-1/2" x11" Portrait>Create Your Own> name your project>OK>Blank Page. Then I just clicked and dragged the background paper, card stock, stamps, punches, ribbons, buttons, stitching, etc. to make my layout. I added drop shadows to the elements I wanted to look 3-D. There are rulers along the side and top of the work area, so you can be sure to make your layout the size you need it. I used the background paper to cover the entire page, then added square punches filled with Whisper White card stock and stretched into rectangles to cover the areas of the background paper I did not want to print (to save ink). So, my actual designed area for this project was 8" x 9". I cut out the design after printing and wrapped it around the popcorn package, sealed with Sticky Tape and Snail Adhesive, and crimped the ends. Sounds easy, right? It was! Maybe 10 minutes tops to design it and now I have it saved on my computer to print out in multiples whenever I need them. Shhhh...don't tell my class, but this is what I will be giving the kids for their Halloween treat from me this year.
