Yep, that's right. Jesse will be gracing us with his presence during the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Expo in Riverside this weekend. Both Jamie and Jesse will be attending both days, all day! Maybe that doesn't surprise you, but as their mom I'm excited and surprised! They don't usually (like never!!) spend their weekends at stamping and scrapbooking events. lol
Do you like the little drawers? We'll be selling these little slider boxes at the Expo and Sam and Tina will be doing a make-and-take with them. These boxes remind me of all the little drawers everyone made with matchboxes a few years back. These boxes are a little larger than match boxes so they hold....you guessed it! Hershey Nuggets! Two per drawer. The boxes are quite sturdy too and they couldn't be easier to decorate. Just stick together the number of boxes you want, cover them with designer paper, add brads for your drawer pulls, and decorate as desired. They're so cute...they remind me of when I was young and made furniture for my Barbie dolls out of found objects like empty wooden spools from thread (yeah, it still came on wooden spools then!) stacked and glued together to make stools or table legs, and shoe boxes covered with quilt batting, fabric and lace to make beds. Remember doing that??
I used Stampin' Up! Designer papers and Simply Scrappin' kits to cover the boxes. I also used brads from SU! Pretties kit, and the colored brads are from Target. Gotta love Target for their inexpensive brads in great colors.
Hoping you're having a wonderful evening! Thanks for visiting!
