Yesterday was my son Jesse's 25th birthday. Hard to believe he is almost as old as me now! ;)
We celebrated by going to the new Bass Pro Shop in Rancho Cucamonga just to ooo and ahh at everything. Then we ate dinner at the Islamorada Restaurant there. My friends, Sue and Lisa, and I ate dinner at the one in Denver while there for the SU! Convention and I knew that's where I wanted to take Jesse for his birthday!
The card is all SU! products except for the clip, ribbon, and brads.
It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but I used the faux embossing technique of stamping the image in craft white and then stamping over it, slightly offset, with classic Brocade Blue ink. I cut the "25" with my Cricut using designer paper and cut the shadow out of card stock. There is a little piece of Groovy Guava showing through behind the little flowers on the bottom where I punched out the centers of the flowers. I glued the "25" to a piece of clear plastic (cut from the end of a packaging box) and clipped them to the front of the card. In real life, the plastic is perfectly clear and you don't see it at all! The River Rock cs was roller stamped in craft white. The second picture shows a close-up of the detail and better shows the clearness of the plastic I used to mount the "25" to. Thanks for looking!
